GERMAN

WITCHES


As soon as an Uçalım's magical power is strong enough, they are able to curse people if they know their soul name. Those Uçalım are called witches. The powers of a witch are very versatile, and different from witch to witch.


However, there are some rules that apply to all witches and their powers:

 

  1.  A witches curse can last forever, and can only be lifted by the witch who spoke it. If the witch is killed before the curse is lifted, it will stay with its victim forever. 
     

  2. Every time a witch used her powers, they need a while to rest. This can take between several hours and several weeks, and if a witch attempts to curse two people at once, the toll on their body can be deadly. 
     

  3. A curse is spoken by saying the victim’s soul name. Witches can not curse people whose soul names they do not know. A witch has to have the intention to actually curse them, they can say Soul names without cursing someone. 
     

  4. A curse can be lifted by an individual ritual set by the witch. It can either be saying the soul name again, or something more elaborate, like an exorcism. 
     

  5. The witches’ status determines how far they can stand away from their victim while still being able to curse them. Same with lifting the curse. Those two distances (speaking the curse and lifting the curse) can have different ranges. Each point of the witches status equals one metre. For example, a witch with 20 points has 20 metres to distribute on speaking and lifting the curse. Like this, they could have a range of 19 metres to the victim to speak the curse, but have to stand in a 1 metre radius of their victim if they want to lift the curse again.
     

  6. A curse alone can never kill someone. 
     

  7. A witch can always recognize another witch, but the way they do differs. Some get headaches, some just have an unmistakeable gut feeling, some might react completely differently.

​IMMUNITY
​
  1. If there are two Uçalım with the same power (e.g. both have the Siren’s voice), the Uçalım with the higher status will be immune against that power of the lower ranked Uçalım.
     

  2. Fabled Uçalım (with a status higher than 200) have a general immunity against all powers. Exceptions are the following:
    - Witches. Those can always curse an Uçalım if they know their soul name, fabled or not
    - If a Fabled Uçalım is emotionally disturbed, their immunity weakens and they are susceptible to other’s powers.
    - A Fabled Uçalım is not immune against the powers of another Fabled Uçalım, unless the rules of point one apply. 
    - Nobody, not even a Fabled Uçalım is immune to healing powers. 
    - Coloured blood.

     

  3. If an Uçalım owns a Nazar, they are immune to Afet’s Illusions and being tracked by an Atabey as well as being seen with an Atabey's third eye. The Nazar has an area of effect equal to the points of the wearer in metres in which it's effects will be active. The design of the Nazar should always contain the symbol resembling an eye.
     

  4. A higher ranked tracking Atabey will never be immune against being tracked down by a lower ranked Atabey. 

NACIYE & KUTLAY POWERS

​

Blessing other Uçalım

This power works similar like the cursing power of witches. However, Kutlay and Naciye are only able to bless Uçalım, meaning it can only have a positive effect on their target. If they bless another Uçalım they will also get blessed themselves. However, they both need to exchange soulnames before. A Kutlay's/Naciye's blessing is permanent, even if one of them dies.

Turning intangible (only in combination with the Naciye trait "halo")

This power makes their user intangible (points equals seconds).If Naciye touch another Uçalım they are able to turn them intangile as well but the time they're able to use it will be halved.

Telekinesis (only in combination with the Naciye trait "halo")

With this powers Naciye are able to move objects or living beings only with their mind (points equals seconds/kg).

ÇAÄžRI & CIHANGIR

ÇaÄŸri only have the Power enhancements 

 

Power enhancement: 

This power is a residue of a demonic possession. When a demon possesses a body, some of their magic stays behind, enhancing one of the powers that an Uçalim already possessed. It's always for the Uçalim to decide if they want to use the enhanced or the normal version of their power.

Blood Bending:

This power enables the Cihangir to not only bend and form blood in general, but to also control the blood in the body of a living being. (Points equal minutes/meter)

 

Reading desires and surface thoughts:

With this power a Cihangir is capable of seeing a person's deepest desires and understanding where it is coming from. It also gives them the ability to read their surface thoughts, which in most cases is already all they need to know. (Points equal minutes) 

If they are in an unfocused state of mind in a room full of people while this power is activated, it can easily give the Cihangir a headache since there would be too many thoughts flooding into their head, which is why this ability takes some time to master. Once the Tainted one mastered it they can easily swap between the thoughts around them without being overwhelmed, to read someone’s deepest desire however takes more effort, which is the reason why the Cihangir can only do it once every 24 hours.

 

Shadow Merging: 

This power allows a Cihangir to dissolve into the shadows, merging with the surrounding ones and even enables them to travel through them. (Points equal minutes) 

​GENERAL POWERS


A normal Uçalım can only have one power, two if they are a witch, and three if you count a Fabled Uçalım's immunity. A Nazar or Karabasan are even more powers that can be added. If an Uçalım is a witch, all durations and ranges of effect are doubled.

AFET

 These Uçalım mostly use their powers to trick others into adoring them.


Illusions
With this power, an Afet can make another Uçalım see whatever they want to. This can be triggered by touch, a word, or hand gesture.The duration of the illusion depends on their status. If the illusion is made visible for everyone, 10 points equal one minute. If it is made visible for only one person, each point equals one minute.

Influence emotions
This power enables them to manipulate another Uçalım's emotions. They can not manipulate their own. It can be triggered by touch, a gesture, or a word. The duration of the manipulation depends on their status. (points equal hours)
- [The Uçalim can not only influence the other person's emotions but also their beliefs and preferences, temporarily turning them into whatever they need them to be.]

Manipulate Memory
Using this power on other Uçalım enables them to eraze, change and falsify the victim’s memory at will. This power will last forever if the victim stays in the Afet’s range. (points equals metres) As soon as the victim leaves this range, they will start to gradually recover their memory after two weeks, including the knowledge of everything that was changed, and who did it.

This dreamcatcher that some Afets are born with doubles all durations and ranges.

ATABEY

This family mostly uses their powers for tracking.


Tracking
Atabey use this ability to track down an Uçalım from far away by either knowing their scent, voice or how they look. A description is enough but the more detailed it is the easier it is to find the person.  They can only keep track of one person at once.

While the Uçalim uses their tracking Power they also raise a strong, irresistible urge within their victim that will draw them towards the tainted one. They will follow this urge to the best of their ability, so if they are trapped somewhere they won't be able to do much and they won't go as far as to hurt themselves but no matter how often you try to reason with them that it doesn't make sense they still have to go. ]

Stun
They can use a short, jarring whistle sound to stun an Uçalım, making them unable to use their muscles. The amount of times they can use that power before having to recharge for a few minutes depends on their status. (points/10 +1). So does the amount of time the victim is stunned. (points equals seconds) And so does their reach. (points equals metres)

Third Eye

The third eye is an enhanced version of the tracking power, and can be used as an additional power. The Third Eye is a moving, “living” tatoo in the middle of their forehead, which enables them to physically see almost everything they want to see. They can only see one place at once, and they have to recover after a while depending on their status. (points equal seconds for both use and recovery time). Using it takes a big toll on an Atabey’s body and 4-7 rounds of uninterrupted use-and-recovery will eventually make them pass out.

BELIG

This family uses their powers to let their businesses boom.

 

Attract attention

This power is used to fully capture an Uçalım's attention on the Belig. It can be triggered by a gesture or word. The duration of this power depends on the status of the Belig. (points equal minutes). So does the range. (points equal metres)
- [This power will affect multiple people instead of focusing on just one person. (Points equal people)]


Nazar

This pendant protects its owners from being tracked, seen by the Atabey's third eye and from Afet’s illusions. It can be used as an additional power. The Nazar has an area of effect equal to the points of the wearer in metres in which it's effects will be active. The design of the Nazar should always contain the symbol resembling an eye.


Confusion ​

This power enables them to bedazzle others. This can be triggered by a word, a gesture or a touch. The amount of time they can keep an Uçalım busy depends on their status. (points equal minutes). So does the range, if they have a wide-range trigger. (points equal metres.) They can bedazzle several Uçalım at once. 
- [The targeted Uçalim won't perceive anything that happens during the duration of this power, as if they were put on standby.]


Condensation (passive, doesn't count as power)

They are able to automatically absorb water from the air.

CAGLAYAN

This family mostly use their powers to harm others.


Controlling Water
This power also includes fog. They can trigger this power by using either a word, a gesture, or by touching the water. The amount of time they can control water before having to rest for the same amount of time depends on their status. (points equals seconds). So does their range. (Points equal metres) This does not apply to fog, which, once its summoned, will stay until it sets, or gets blown away by the wind. Water temperatures can not be changed, and ice can not be created or controlled.

Siren’s Voice
A magical song that Caglayans use to protect their ships (or play tricks on their crew members). Once a victim hears that song, they are forced to dive underwater. The power stops working as soon as they are under water, but most Uçalım can not swim in the first place, especially not with soaked wings which will pull them back down. The length of the Siren’s Voice is determined by the Caglayan’s status. (points equal seconds) So is its range. (points equal metres) Caglayans can adjust their range and make it smaller at will by singing more quietly. 
- [The enhanced Siren's Voice is capable of making a Person feel like they are drowning wherever they are, if there is no water around their body will suffocate itself. It will still work once the Uçalim is underwater and will only stop once they are out of hearing range so it is dangerous against gilled pirates as well. They can choose how intense their voice is, making it possible to do both: Torture or kill a person with it.}

Nazar
A Belig’s pendant that shields Caglayans from being tracked, seen by the Atabey's third eye and from Afet’s illusions. It can be used as an additional power. The Nazar has an area of effect equal to the points of the wearer in metres in which it's effects will be active. The design of the Nazar should always contain the symbol resembling an eye.

 

 

 

DEVRIM

These Uçalım's powers are used solely to harm others.


Controlling people

A Devrim can control everyone in a radius depending on their status (points equal metres), and additionally one single person that is further away than that. They do, however, have to vaguely know where that controlled person is. 
Controlling other Uçalım exhausts a Devrim, and they can only do it for a certain period of time before they need to recover the same amount of time. (points equal minutes)
How they trigger this power is different for every Devrim. Some can use it by saying direct orders, some use a hand gesture or touch to put the order into another person’s head.
The Devrim has to actively want to control someone for it to work. They can touch Uçalım, use hand gestures, or their trigger words without controlling other Uçalım.
- [This enhancement enables the User to possess the other Uçalims body and control it and your own body at the same time. They are able to speak and act freely in the other body.]


Drain life

This power does not only add time to their own lifespan, makes then young and resets their Soul Clocks, it can also be deadly for their victim if too much time is stolen.
How they trigger this power is different for every Devrim. Some use it by touching someone, saying a certain word, or do some kind of hand gesture. However, they can not drain life with their thoughts alone. There is always some kind of trigger or movement involved.
If their trigger is wide-ranged, like a word or gesture, the distance in which it still works depends on the Devrim’s status. (points equal metres)
The Devrim has to actively want to harm someone for it to work. They can touch Uçalım, use hand gestures, or their trigger words without harming other Uçalım.
- [The Uçalim can drain life with their thoughts alone and not only add it to their own Soul Clock but also into the Soul Clock of another person instead if they wish to.]

 

Inflicting Pain

This power enables a Devrim to inflict great pain on a victim, which can lead to their death if the Devrim keeps at it for too long. Every Devrim can only inflict pain on one certain part of the body, e.g. the victim’s heart or head. They can trigger this power either by touch, a word, or a hand gesture. If their trigger is wide-ranged, like a word or gesture, the distance in which it still works depends on the Devrim’s status. (points equal metres)
The duration of how long the Devrim can inflict pain before resting also depends in their status. (points equal minutes)
The Devrim has to actively want to harm someone for it to work. They can touch Uçalım, use hand gestures, or their trigger words without harming other Uçalım.
- [The Uçalim is capable of inflicting actual, non-lethal wounds on their victim that will leave black scars and will start to hurt again once the Tainted one is close.]

ESER

These Uçalım mainly use their powers for their craft.


Heating up Objects

An Eser can use this power to heat up everything in their surroundings, even living creatures. This can be triggered by either touch, a gesture, or a word. The duration of how long they can heat objects before resting for the same amount of time is determined by their points. (points equal minutes). So is their range. (points equal metres)
- [The Uçalim is capable of not only rapidly heating but also cooling objects, changing the temperature of something no matter if cold or warm.]


Create Magnetism

This can be used by an Eser to create magnetism between two objects, even if these objects or creatures are usually impossible to magnetize. (e.g. plants, people, food). The amount of time that they can keep something magnetized before resting for the same amount of time is determined by their status. (points equal minutes). So is their range. (points equal minutes.) With this power, they also automatically disturb the inner compasses many Atabeys use to track down other Uçalım. The target the Atabeys are looking for has to be in the Esers range for it to work though.

Bend Metal

This power enables and Eser to bend metal to their will. It can be triggered by a word, a gesture, or by touching the metal. They can also make it float. The duration of how long they can bend metal before resting for the same amount of time depends on their status (points equal minutes). So does the range in which they can bend metal (points equal metres).
- [This enhancement gives the Uçalim the ability to change the material of something, for example changing silver into gold.]

INCI

The powers of these Uçalım are all bound to their voices.


Growing plants
This power enables them to grow plants in a heartbeat. It can only be triggered through their voice (either singing or talking). Unless the Inci can not use their voice anymore, it has almost no limitations. After excessively using their powers, the Inci’s throat can get hurt, causing their powers to be less effective the duller their voice becomes. They have the ability to grow small blossoms and flowers without using their voice.

Sleeping Song
This power enables the Inci to make everyone who hears their song fall into a magic sleep for several hours. It can only be triggered through their voice (only singing). The duration of how long an Inci can keep up a Sleeping Song without interruption depends on their status. (points equal minutes)
- [The Uçalim can create and influence the dreams of the person that they put to sleep. They are also able to watch them. (Curse > Power: If the victim is under the influence of a curse that affects their dreams, the tainted one can only affect the parts of the dream that aren't relevant to the curse.)]

Healing Song
This power enables an Inci to heal another Uçalım. It can be triggered only by their voice (either singing or talking). Incis with white blood can even slightly reset other Uçalım's soul clocks. Every minute an Inci with both a healing voice and white blood sings (with the intention of resetting a soulclock), it adds a minute to another Uçalım's life. However, half of the time they're adding to another Uçalım's soulclock is taken from their own. The duration of how long they can sing depends on their status, before they have to rest for the same amount of time. (points equals minutes) The range is determined by whether the Inci’s voice could still be heard, no matter if the target is conscious or unconscious. Once the target is dead, the Inci can not heal them anymore.
- [Their healing power takes over their body, making it heal automatically if it gets damaged. Once a day this ability will heal a lethal wound, but if the tainted one is dead for more than 24 hours they won't revive. Limbs have to be reattached, otherwise they take months to grow back, so if they lose their head and it doesn't get reattached quick enough it can't heal within the 24 hour limit.]


Charm Wildlife
Some Incis have the power to communicate with the wildlife around them. They are able to hear the animal’s voice in their head, and animals will understand their words. Incis with the Charm Wildlife power usually get along very well with said wildlife. While they can communicate with them, they are in no way able to control them, and any favor they may ask for will not be granted if not asked in a respectful manner. The status of each Ucalim determines the size of animal they are able to communicate with. The Lower Class can communicate with hand-sized critters, Middle Class Inci can communicate with knee-high animals, Upper Class with shoulder-high animals, and the Inci Nobility is able to communicate with any animal.

TAARIH

This family’s powers are just as eerie as the Taarih themselves.

​

Teleportation/Transportation

This power is split, with a Taarih only being able to use one of them. It is split into Long-Distance-Teleportation with the ability to take others with you, and into Short-Distance-Teleportation, mostly used in battle.

Long-Distance-Teleportation (Transportation): This power allows a Taarih to teleport to another place (points equal kilometers) and even take a person with them, if wanted. It can only be used once, twice if the distance was not the maximum, before the Taarih has to rest for a few hours. The Taarih must be in physical contact with a passenger to transport both of them. Taarih can not teleport someone somewhere without teleporting themselves. Teleport can be activated through voice, a gesture, and even thought alone. A Taarih must actively want to teleport for it to happen, they can use their trigger words and gestures without teleporting.

There is no delay for reappearing, they will reappear in their new position the moment they vanish from the old one. A Taarih with Long-Distance-Teleportation must either know, what the place they want to teleport to looks like, or at least see it in the distance (e.g. mountain tops, ships on the sea etc.)

Short-Distance-Teleportation: This power allows a Taarih to teleport short distances (a few metres at most), several times, in a very short period of time. It is mostly used in battle, to evade hits and get a favorable fighting position. Using this power tires them out greatly and after a certain time of using it, mostly during or after a battle, they have to rest for a few minutes/hours. To not lose in battle, efficiency is important for this sort of power.

There is no delay for reappearing, they will reappear in their new position the moment they vanish from the old one. A Taarih with Short-Distance-Teleportation must see the place they teleport to, before teleporting there.
- [Long distance: The Uçalim can teleport another person alone. // Short distance: The Uçalim can swap their position with someone else's.]

Telepathy

Some Taarih can communicate with others by using their thoughts alone, their voice resounding in the thoughts of their targets. Since their voice is conveyed over the medium of thought, exchange of information can be done a lot quicker and more efficiently. This is only a one-way-street, and a Taarih without Telepathy can not reply telepathically. A target can not read the telepath’s mind, or hear anything the telepath does not intend to share with them.

Telepathy can be used over an extended amount of time, without tiring the Taarih out. Restrictions to the power are distance (points equal metres), and the amount of people they can talk to at the same time (points/10).
- [This enhancement makes the telepathy work both ways, creating a link between zur Uçalims minds. It can also create a Link with multiple people at the same time.]

Shapeshifting

Maybe the most renowned power of the Taarih is their shapeshifting. It is a power that has to be trained excessively to be perfected, as it requires a lot of concentration and beginners often forget important details to make their deceit believable.

They can change into anything, be it rocks, animals, or even other Uçalım.

Wounds that the Taarih may have gained remain during the transformation, and wounds gained while being transformed will also show up on it’s original body.  

The transformation can only be upheld for a certain amount of time (points equal minutes), and the Taarih needs to rest for a while before being able to use the power again after exhausting their time limit. As long as the time has not run out, they can transform as often as they please.
